Lynn's Story

While most people with COVID-19 return to normal health within a few weeks, others have symptoms that linger for months after recovery. For these “long haulers,” the Summa Health Post-COVID Clinic – which was launched in 2020 in response to the pandemic – offers coordinated care depending on a patient’s individual needs.

Lynn was one of those patients. After being diagnosed with COVID and double pneumonia in late 2020, she spent four weeks on a ventilator under the care of Brian Bauman, M.D., and the Summa Health pulmonary team. In this video, Lynn describes how – after finally being discharged – she realized her road to recovery was far from over.
